blogging

we all do it, honestly, at some point or another everyone who has access to read this will start, end or plan to start a blog of their own.
i think it is this new age obession that we all have with communication. we seem to always be informed of everything and have minute to minute updates of all events going down in our social circles and the world at large.
I was thinking the other day about the time when i did'nt own a cell phone.
(now ofcourse i cant imagine falling asleep or so much as moving three steps without it with me but not so long ago people had to actually take the trouble of calling my house to get in touch with me.)
i have noticed that owning one has changed me, it has altered my behaviour and my expectations.
everytime i now have an interesting thought or see something beautiful or strange instead of thinking about it i immediately text friends and we form a collective opninion.
i expect to know everything about everyone else's life and they expect to know about mine.
we say that relationships are based on the little things but that is quickly turning into the insignificant mundane minute details that really in the end we only care about because of social pretense or the twisted notion that if we dont pretend to care about these mundane things then we dont care about the person as a whole.

random.
